About logan (they/them)
Associate Psychotherapist
I am here to create a welcoming environment for you to explore your identity, relationships, and cultural intersections to start to feel more free to be who you truly are.
Therapy for Identity, Belonging & Self-Acceptance in highland park, l.a.
I know that living fully and authentically takes tremendous courage, especially when it requires embracing parts of yourself that society has historically oppressed and when you may have received the message that these aspects of you don’t belong.
My purpose as a therapist is to join clients on their mental health journeys and help them explore issues of identity, navigate areas of "stuckness," and bridge disconnection in relationships. I find that building close, intimate relationships with my clients is one of the most personally rewarding aspects of this work and that this is vital to help you feel safe enough to explore the deeply provocative experiences and relationships that you’re seeking support for.
Every part of you is welcome.
As a pansexual, nonbinary therapist, I have experienced firsthand the importance of inclusive and queer-affirming care. My approach centers on supporting LGBTQIA2S+ individuals and relationships, providing a warm and gentle space where you can explore your authentic self without fear of judgment or shame.
I am deeply inspired by the resilience and tenacity of queer-identified folks and thus, am dedicated to helping queer and questioning folks go from feeling isolated or confused to embracing their authentic self and building community. Similarly, I help gender expansive people go from feeling dysphoric and disconnected to reclaiming their power and reconnecting with their bodies.
Whether you're navigating gender identity, sexual orientation, the complexities of coming out, or are finding yourself questioning, I'm here to walk alongside you on your journey towards self-discovery, pride, and self-acceptance. You don’t have to explore these essential parts of you and your identity alone.
Some of the Ways I Can Support You are:
LGBTQIA2S+ affirming therapy for identity exploration, coming out, and self-acceptance
gender-affirming care for transgender, nonbinary, and gender-expansive individuals
queer-affirming couples therapy and support for intercultural and interracial relationships
navigating multicultural identity, cultural belonging, and intersectionality
healing from racial trauma, queerphobia, family rejection, and relational trauma
strengthening communication, intimacy, and secure connection in relationships
therapy for teens and young adults exploring identity and belonging
helping parents and families better support their LGBTQIA+ child or teen
Multicultural & BIPOC Therapy in Los Angeles
I am also passionate about emboldening individuals and couples from diverse backgrounds. In addition to my specialization in LGBTQIA+ issues, I am deeply committed to addressing the unique challenges faced by BIPOC and Asian-American communities.
Drawing from my own experiences and cultural insights, I offer culturally competent therapy that celebrates your heritage while empowering you to navigate the complexities of living in our diverse world.
Culture, identity, and belonging matter.
As a Spanish-speaking, queer, non-binary Asian-American clinician, I have firsthand understanding of some of the nuances of intersectional experiences and the complexity of navigating multiple diverse intersections of identity, which helps me to connect with diverse clients and offers a distinct perspective for collaborating with my clients. And, I deeply resonate with the emotional and physical toll this can take.
From supporting Asian-American and BIPOC clients coping with racial trauma and systemic oppression to LGBTQIA+ folks healing from queerphobia and relational trauma within your family of origin—and often, managing all of these experiences simultaneously—I get it. And I’m here to help.
My previous background working in schools and community mental health settings with teens and young adults has made me excited to be a healing support for younger folks who are exploring their identity and helping them to build confidence to be who they are, while managing the diverse expectations of school, family members, and their communities. I also possess experience helping families and parents to better support their queer or questioning child/teen, as well as effectively managing family conflict and challenging relationship dynamics.
Let’s work together to celebrate ALL of you—the intersections of your identity and the previously cut off parts, to help you feel more whole, joyful, and liberated within yourself and in your relationships.
queer affirming relationship therapy
I came to Kindman & Co. because I value and appreciate the vital importance of having relationships and community.
I also know how hard it can be to manage conflict and feel seen and understood in our relationships!
support for intercultural and interracial partners
I’m excited to work with queer partnerships and intercultural and interracial partners and families, where I can help you bridge differences, foster deeper understanding, and cultivate stronger, more resilient connections.
Whether you're struggling with communication barriers, navigating challenging family dynamics, managing different cultural norms, or confronting societal prejudices and oppression, I provide a supportive space where you can learn from previous conflicts, discover new skills, and increase shared understanding to feel more secure and harmonious in your close relationships.
In our work together, you will find that I lead with a deep respect for your lived experiences and cultural context. My goal is to empower you and your loved ones to embrace your truth, cultivate healthier relationships, and live a purposeful, joyful life that aligns with your values and aspirations.
Together, we will embrace all of you, and help you cultivate more authentic and fulfilling relationships. If you're ready to embark on a journey of affirmation, healing, and growth, I look forward to connecting with you.
