in person and online therapy workshops, clinical trainings, & retreat offerings
At Kindman & Co., Therapy for Being Human means more than individual sessions—it’s about creating spaces that nurture the many dimensions of who we are. In addition to ongoing therapy, we’re committed to offering workshops, retreats, and trainings that are accessible and responsive to the varied needs of our community.
These short-term, experiential offerings give local community members and fellow helping professionals the chance to engage with our relational, feminist, and social-justice-informed approach in new ways. Whether through embodied practices, explorations of emotional wellbeing, professional clinical trainings, or community-building experiences, our workshops are designed to help people connect more deeply—with themselves, with others, and with the world around them.
Stay tuned for upcoming opportunities to join us. You can also sign up for our mailing list to be the first to hear about new programs, retreats, and therapist trainings as they’re announced. Scroll down for more info about our upcoming workshops and trainings.

“When our lived experiences of theorizing is fundamentally linked to process of self-recovery, of collective liberation, no gap exists between theory and practice. Indeed, what such experience makes more evident is the bond between the two — that ultimately reciprocal process wherein one enables the other.” ”

Clinical training:
How to be a relational therapist
At Kindman & Co., every therapist on our team practices relational therapy through a social justice lens—because we know it works. Relational therapy helps clients strengthen their relationships and live more authentically, while also giving therapists permission to show up as their full selves. This authenticity not only supports better outcomes, but also helps sustain the work and prevent burnout. Over the years, we’ve trained many therapists in this approach, and we’re thrilled to now offer a two-level training series designed to support both emerging and seasoned clinicians, with CEU credit available for participants.
Level One: Build Your Relational Foundation, is a three-part series beginning in October 2025. This training is for therapists who are new to relational approaches or who want to feel more grounded and intentional in their stance. Across three monthly sessions, we’ll cover the essentials of relational practice, explore how to orient and intervene from a relational stance, and invite you to embrace your own humanity as a healing tool. Participants in Level One can earn 9 CE hours.
Level Two: Beyond the Basics, builds on that foundation and moves into the more complex, nuanced realities of relational practice. In this four-part series, starting in February 2026, we’ll dive into ruptures and repair, grief, shame, client ambivalence, and other “sticky” moments that often test the therapeutic relationship. The heart of Level Two is experiential learning—you’ll practice in community through demos, dyads, and breakout groups, expanding your capacity to show up bravely and creatively in the therapy room. Participants in Level Two can earn 12 CE hours.
Together, Levels One and Two offer a complete pathway: from establishing the foundations of relational therapy to developing advanced skills for navigating complexity and deepening intimacy in your clinical work, all while earning CEU credit to support your ongoing licensure and growth.
