Together we can work to better understand the source of your distress and begin to see how it can actually help you to lead a more fulfilling and meaningful life. In our individual sessions together we can help you build skills for managing “big” feelings, acquire tools for more effective and empathic communication, cultivate a thriving community for yourself, find and connect to purpose, and find lasting healing.

Intimate Relationships

We work with relationships at all stages, including early partnering, long term partners and marriages, alternative formations, and separations. We support partners, families, and families-of-choice to deepen their intimacy, develop communication to better meet each others’ needs, establish helpful boundaries, and navigate impasses and betrayals. We will help you to access more compassion in your relationships and come away with a deeper understanding of what each party needs to feel secure and develop more nourishing connections.

You do not need to be in a relational crisis to work on your relationship! We enjoy working with clients in intimate relationships to deepen their connection and communication skills in the hopes of preventing deeper conflicts and irresolvable differences.

Relationship therapy can be with one therapist or with The Kindmans together in the form of co-therapy. In co-therapy, both Kaitlin & Paul will meet with you and your partner/family members at the same time, creating a balanced configuration that aims to provide equality, build trust, and address many common concerns of relationship therapy.

We love groupwork! We have facilitated a range of groups that promote wellbeing via the sharing of your experience and resonating with others. All of our groups bolster connection, vulnerability, curiosity, and reach for empathic understanding and appreciation of our shared experiences as well as our differences. Groups often include education and cultivate skills for managing big feelings and building intimacy within the group members and in relationships with others. Groups are the perfect space to practice tools you’re learning and find the comfort, support, and healing that building new relationships can provide. Visit our Groups tab to see our current group offerings. Subscribe to our mailing list to receive info on new group offerings.

Some past group themes:

  • Understanding how the body holds trauma

  • Deconstructing femininity and developing new ideas/actions of female leadership

  • Living a fully satisfying life as a single person

  • Healing from trauma for LGBTQIA+ individuals

Please contact us to let us know if you’re interested in joining a group for any of the themes above or with suggestions for groups you’d like to see!
